Flipping the ClassroomThis session will introduce teachers to the concept of flipping the
classroom and challenge traditional teaching methods. Teachers will be exposed to a range of engaging ICT tools and technology to integrate into their physical education class that are guaranteed to keep the students interested and moving more than ever. Delegates will need to bring along a laptop/iPad with their own connectivity and need to create a free weebly account at weebly.com. At the end of this session delegates will walk away with a website developed and ready to use in your next flipped class. An introductory screencast will be sent to delegates prior to the session introducing and modelling the flipped classroom. |
Project Based Learning in HPEReal change in our students occurs when they OWN the learning and it is RELEVANT and REAL to them outside of school. Project based learning or PBL is about empowering our students to be 21st century learners. Through intentional and structured design, PBL not only teaches and assesses key learnings, but also naturally engages and challenges students to produce exceptional work. This session will build teacher capacity as delegates experience firsthand the process of planning, working in a collaborative group with peers and learning in a project based setting. At the end of this session delegates will return to school ready to transform their HPE classrooms into learning environments focused on 21st century skills.

Interactive, Collaborative and Teachable ICT toolsThis session will expose teachers to a wide range of ICT tools that
can be used to analyse, assess and improve student performances both inside the health and physical education theory classroom and also outside in the practical environment. All ICT tools presented are guaranteed to keep your students engaged and moving more than ever. This session will be a hands-on, interactive session where participants will be able to practise and experience these ICT tools in action. These tools are super easy to implement even if ICT isn’t your strong point. All delegates to this session must bring along a laptop, ipad or phone with their own connectivity and the free app Hudl Technique uploaded. |
