How to get started with Podcasting
MAC and PC uses different software so please read the one relevant to your needs
PC - Audacity
Below i have highlighted the main tools you will utilize in Audacity - Have a play trying to record your voice. If you are having difficulties
Make sure you play around with the recording levels. You need to ensure the volume of your voice is not to high or not to low. This will require some experimenting and playing around with it.
So now i want you to record yourself saying something eg. Today our podcast will be focusing on the benifits of Physical Activity. NOW PRESS THE STOP BUTTON.
Now press record and say something else and press stop again.
You will notice that each recording is recorded in a separte track. What we now need to ensure is that these flow into each other nicely.
Use the TIMESHIFT button (looks like two arrows pointing in opposite directions
Use this to line up the two tracks - WOLA sounds much better!
IMPORTING MUSIC and OTHER AUDIO
Go to the project menu tab up the top and choose "Import Audio" Then browse and select the audio you want to insert.
EXPORTING YOUR PODCAST
Go to FILE and choose EXPORT AS WAV. Save it somewhere you will remember
Set up itunes and import your podcast
